Gamma-oryzanol is a mixture of ferulate esters of a number of triterpene alcohols obtained from the seed coat of rice Oryza Sativa Linne (Graminea).

This is a purified product of gamma-oryzanol and is used as a reference standard in the measurement of the effective content of gamma-oryzanol in pharmaceutical products.
